Job Title: Network Tier II Engineer

FEDITC - Federal IT Consulting is seeking a skilled Network Tier II Engineer to join our team. As a Network Tier II Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying and resolving performance issues, troubleshooting, repairing/replacing, configuring, monitoring, and upgrading of the network on both unclassified and classified systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather trend analysis data on systems and provide input for resource planning.
  • Review work/installation progress for accuracy, adherence to network design, and conformance to telecommunications standards.
  • Provide all maintenance and documentation of ground equipment and systems on a scheduled and unscheduled basis.
  • Configure, customize, and maintain Government-furnished network security, monitoring, and data analytic tools like Solar winds and Splunk.
  • Respond to incident calls and troubleshoot aircraft to ground connectivity issues.
Requirements:
  • Experience as a network generalist, including inside plant, routing, switching, encryptor, voice, troubleshooting, datacenter maintenance, and firewall operations.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds to rack/replace network equipment.
Education and Certifications:
  • BA/BS + 4 years of experience.
  • IAT II certification required.
  • CCNA or better.
  • Maintain applicable certifications as requested by FEDITC or required by FEDITC's Customers.
Clearance:
  • A Top Secret clearance is required to be considered for the position.
  • Must be a US Citizen and pass a background check.
  • Maintain applicable security clearances at the level required by the client.
