Role Summary: The Senior Vice President for Internal Medicine will oversee critical administrative and clinical functions, ensuring operational efficiency and strategic direction across multiple departments. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate significant administrative and clinical operations, including budget management, financial oversight, and human resources for various departments.
  • Manage a designated service line, including budgetary responsibilities and academic oversight.
  • Implement and uphold organizational policies, making key decisions on complex issues in collaboration with department leadership.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring financial sustainability.

  • Establish departmental goals and objectives, monitoring progress and outcomes.
  • Design and implement training programs to enhance staff capabilities and improve service delivery.
  • Initiate new programs to adapt to evolving healthcare demands and ensure departmental growth.
  • Act as a key liaison between management and various departments regarding clinical operations.
  • Ensure compliance with record-keeping and reporting requirements.
  • Develop and execute formal training initiatives for staff development.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in business, finance, or a related field, coupled with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in management within a clinical or healthcare setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in an academic medical center with complex reporting structures and shared services.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with advanced proficiency in software applications for data management and presentation.
  • Exemplary integrity, intelligence, and maturity in managing complex organizational dynamics.
  • Able to work autonomously in a dynamic environment, demonstrating sound judgment and creative problem-solving skills.
