The ideal candidate will possess hands-on expertise and will be responsible for all security-related matters within the organization. The Global Vice President of Cybersecurity is pivotal in defining the company's information security strategy, infrastructure, and capabilities. This leadership role demands a strategic mindset with a profound understanding of the dynamic threat landscape, ensuring that security initiatives align with business objectives.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Formulate and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy.
  • Collaborate with senior management to weave security into the overall business framework.
  • Remain updated on emerging threats and technologies, providing insights for necessary enhancements.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate security risks across all systems.
  • Establish and enforce security policies while conducting regular assessments.

Security Architecture:

  • Oversee and refine security architecture to facilitate business growth.
  • Ensure scalability, resilience, and compliance with industry standards.

Operational Management:

  • Supervise daily security operations, including incident response and threat management.
  • Implement and sustain essential security tools and technologies.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Guarantee compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS).
  • Coordinate security audits and maintain relevant policies.

Training and Awareness:

  • Design and deliver cybersecurity training programs for staff.
  • Foster a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.

Incident Management:

  • Lead incident response initiatives, coordinating with both internal and external teams.

Vendor Oversight:

  • Assess and manage third-party vendors to ensure compliance with security standards.

Performance Reporting:

  • Develop security metrics and report on the effectiveness of security programs to senior management.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Exceptional communication skills, particularly with executive leadership.
  • Strategic thinking coupled with practical implementation capabilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of security standards (e.g., NIST, ISO) and technologies (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure).
  • Preferred certifications include CISSP/CISM.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in Information Security with a proven track record in risk management.
  • Experience in agile environments is advantageous.
