Lead Business Analyst, Fulfillment Solutions

Overview:
Amazon's Fulfillment Solutions team is in search of a Lead Business Analyst who possesses a robust technical background and a demonstrated capacity to influence various organizational units.
Role Significance:
In the past two decades, the proportion of physical gross merchandise sales on Amazon attributed to third-party Sellers has significantly increased.
With Sellers operating in numerous countries and listing their products on the Amazon Marketplace, they play an essential role in realizing Amazon's ambition of providing the largest selection and the most competitive prices globally.
Key Responsibilities:
This position will collaborate with scientific and marketplace business teams to develop sophisticated models aimed at minimizing end-to-end supply chain expenses for FBA Sellers.
You will establish connections to elucidate discrepancies in inventory at detailed levels, facilitating appropriate actions among FBA product teams, marketplace business units, and FBA Sellers.
This analytical position necessitates close collaboration with scientific and Machine Learning teams. You will gain insights into Seller challenges and have the opportunity to transform their experience by influencing product vision and global roadmap implementation.
Daily Activities:
As a Lead Business Analyst, you will contribute to developing analytical solutions that drive in-depth analyses and provide insights into the health and performance of the FBA business.
Your role will involve converting data related to millions of unique products, encompassing hundreds of thousands of Selling Partners and tens of millions of customers worldwide, into actionable business intelligence, making it accessible to stakeholders globally.
You will communicate complex concepts to leadership in a clear and comprehensible manner. You will be responsible for the design, creation, and management of extensive datasets.
From the outset, you will face a variety of tasks, including dataset creation, report generation, dashboard development, metadata modeling, and pipeline monitoring.
You will engage with leadership, scientists, program and product owners, and technical teams to gather requirements, structure scalable data solutions, and gain a comprehensive understanding of key datasets.
You will design, implement, and promote the adoption of new analytical technologies and solutions while advocating for industry-standard best practices. Additionally, you will be responsible for optimizing query performance against large and intricate data sets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business or financial analysis, product costing, procurement, or a quantitative role.
- 5+ years of experience writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using tools like Tableau and Power BI.
- Proven experience in defining requirements and utilizing data and metrics to derive business insights.
- Familiarity with QuickSight dashboard and visual creation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA.
- Experience in making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders.
