Job Summary:

This position is a key role within the State of Kansas, responsible for overseeing the administrative management and direction of construction, maintenance, and personnel matters in a designated area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional leadership and direction to assigned work units, ensuring effective management of construction and maintenance projects.
  • Represent the State of Kansas with cities, counties, and local stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and communication.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve performance, productivity, and employee engagement within the work unit.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies, maintaining a high level of integrity and professionalism.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Professional Engineering License recognized by the Kansas Board of Technical Professions.
  • At least six years of experience in engineering, including one year of supervisory experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Kansas Tax Clearance Certificate required.
