About the Job

We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, creative, and detail-oriented environmental planning professional to join our growing team at Dudek.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform research, strategic consultation, preparation, and project management of environmental documents for complex public and private land development projects.
  • Coordinate and manage interdisciplinary resource and planning technical teams tailored to the specific needs of individual projects.
  • Manage public engagement activities and interact with various members of public agency and private client staff on matters related to land use planning, project description development, environmental compliance, and land development/entitlements.
  • Provide junior-level staff guidance on environmental regulatory requirements, as well as best practices for preparing environmental documents and other project deliverables.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, engagement, quality service, and customer satisfaction to our public and private clients.
  • Foster client connections through existing client relationships and proactive business development in the candidate's areas of strength and interest.
  • Enhance Dudek's professional reputation and demonstrate the ability to be creative and innovative with these tasks while representing Dudek in a professional manner.
  • Work closely with other Dudek Project Managers to promote our business interests in adherence with the company's mission, vision, and values.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental studies/planning or policy, urban planning, or similar from an accredited four-year college.
  • 8 or more years of professional work experience with demonstrable success in environmental document preparation, including Environmental Impact Statements and Environmental Assessments, as well as associated public involvement requirements.
  • Project management experience overseeing contracts, budgets, schedules, and technical staff or subconsultants in the preparation of environmental documents is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to travel regionally for business.
  • Excellent communication, organization, writing, and presentation skills are required.
Working Conditions

This job operates in a remote or office-based environment and requires occasional project site visits.

Physical Requirements

This job requires working on a computer, sitting or standing for long periods of time in an office or remote office setting.

This job requires attending meetings, both in person and virtually, as well as speaking on the phone with peers, clients, etc.

Compensation

The proposed salary range is $105,000-$152,000 annually.

Final agreed upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to an individual's related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
