Job Title: Senior Environmental Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Planner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading environmental planning tasks and projects, including Environmental Impact Statements, comprehensive plans, permitting, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead environmental planning tasks and projects, including Environmental Impact Statements, comprehensive plans, permitting, and more.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables and stellar client service.
  • Prepare and manage NEPA and SEPA documents and supporting plans.
  • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving to develop environmental planning documents, including comprehensive plans, land use plans, and climate adaptation and resiliency plans.
  • Draft regulatory compliance reports and technical memos.
  • Support permitting efforts for natural resources and the built environment.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of proposals.
  • Research and apply jurisdictional requirements, codes, and policies.
  • Adhere to and drive QA/QC processes and programs.
  • Interface with clients, attend project and public meetings, and participate in interviews.
  • Develop community engagement plans.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in environmental planning.
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental studies, urban planning, or similar area of focus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with public and private clients.
  • Experience in the consulting industry.
