Position Overview: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Clerk to support our HR department with typical tasks involving recruiting, onboarding, LOA, payroll. This part-time role is ideal for a person who has Human Resources experience looking for a manageable work-life balance. The HR Clerk will gain hands-on experience in recruiting, onboarding, training, employee communication, and social media outreach.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing paperwork, coordinating orientation sessions, and assisting with new hire orientation.
  • Train new hires in company systems and procedures, including timesheet management and other HR-related software.
  • Coordinate employee communication initiatives, including drafting newsletters, updating internal communication channels, and assisting with company-wide announcements.
  • Assist in managing the company's social media presence, including posting job openings, sharing company updates, and promoting employee engagement activities.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department, such as maintaining employee records, organizing files, and scheduling meetings.
  • Attend meetings and events as a representative of Adaptation.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years experience in Human Resources or a Bachelor of Science degree program in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Schedule and Compensation:

  • This is a part-time position with flexible hours.
  • This role will be 15-20 hours per week.
  • Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
