Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Broker Assistant to join our team. As a Broker Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our brokers in the placement of complex risks.

Responsibilities

  • Enter new business submissions into our operating system for clearance
  • Verify licensing and compliance requirements for accounts
  • Follow up with retailers for information requests
  • Prepare specifications of coverage and pricing for accounts to be marketed to carriers
  • Market to designated markets upon instructions from brokers
  • Communicate with customers primarily for account information requests, declinations, and quote releases
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Take initiative to complete assignments independently
  • Process and review accuracy of endorsements and audits
  • Work on non-routine and complex issues with assistance as needed
  • Handle binders and account invoicing
  • Conduct quality control reviews on policies, endorsements, and audits

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • B2B sales experience
  • Strong sales and marketing skills, business acumen, and interest in continued education and professional development
  • Insurance license preferred
