Hourly Compensation: The estimated hourly pay range is based on skills and experience, ranging from $26.36 to $33.36.

Position Summary: The Audiovisual Event Technician is accountable for the installation and management of audiovisual systems for events of varying scales, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction throughout.

This role reports to a Project Manager, Operations Manager, Operations Director, or Director of Event Technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Management: Guarantee a seamless event by accurately setting up, operating, and dismantling advanced audiovisual equipment as specified in the technical qualifications.
  • Troubleshooting: Quickly identify and resolve technical issues as they arise.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all company security and safety protocols, ensuring equipment is safeguarded against theft and damage.

Customer Engagement:

  • Deliver outstanding service, striving to surpass the expectations of both internal and external clients.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients through effective communication.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to devise event solutions before and during events to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Understand and nurture the relationship with hotel clients.

Training and Development:

  • Foster an environment that promotes the growth of technical and leadership skills among team members.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to enhance the technical capabilities of technical, sales, and operations staff.

Event Oversight:

  • Engage in advanced tasks related to event operations before, during, and after events.
  • Supervise and guide other technicians throughout the event.

Equipment Care:

  • Assist the team in ensuring proper security, storage, transportation, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Conduct inventory and forecast equipment requirements.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Encore Technical Level 3 Certification is mandatory, with new team members required to be certified within 30 days of joining.
  • Encore Technical Level Two Core Certifications in Audio, Lighting, Projection, Video, and Scenic are also required, with certification to be completed within 60 days.
  • A minimum of 4 years of field experience in the relevant specialty area is necessary.
  • 3-5 years of experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred.
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse workforce, customer base, and senior management.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and initiatives effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with clients and colleagues.
  • A valid driver's license is required for roles that may involve operating company vehicles.

Work Environment: Work is conducted in a hotel or convention center setting, with moderate exposure to outdoor conditions and dust. The noise level may vary from quiet to loud.

Team members will utilize high-end audiovisual equipment and electrical components, and may work at heights using lifts and ladders. Flexibility in working hours is required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Team members must comply with appearance standards as defined by Encore.
