The Head of School-Based Therapy Services is responsible for overseeing the school therapy staff across multiple locations within the designated area, ensuring that quality therapy services are accessible to students.

POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Provide comprehensive program management and development in collaboration with the Senior Director of School-Based Therapy Services.
  • Guarantee the delivery of effective and clinically suitable management of behavioral health issues within educational institutions throughout the region.
  • Lead the School-Based Therapy (SBT) initiatives, which encompass external collaborations, internal referrals, and ongoing grant and contract responsibilities.
  • Facilitate team coordination and offer support to the Senior Director of School-Based Therapy Services.
  • Work in conjunction with CRS and CS to ensure the proper handling of referrals and the integration of school-based referrals into our care system.
  • Supervise SBT professionals to ensure high-quality performance, effective management of schedules, and seamless collaboration with other departments.
  • Regularly assess all data related to SBT, including financial, quality, compliance, and administrative metrics, and follow up with SBT staff as necessary.
  • Engage in Utilization Review (UR) for managing caseloads, session lengths, care patterns, and appointment metrics.
  • Direct peer review processes to ensure the provision of appropriate services and create a feedback loop for continuous quality enhancement.
  • Ensure regular SBT meetings are conducted to maintain open communication and feedback among the VP, Senior Director of SBT, SBT Directors, and frontline staff.
  • Conduct regular stakeholder meetings to ensure adherence to established processes.
  • Evaluate the performance of staff members and provide recommendations for promotions or terminations to the HR department and Senior Director of Outpatient Services.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with external agencies and other SBT stakeholders, with assistance from the regional VP of Corporate Partnerships.
  • Collaborate with Compass Training Institute (CTI) to facilitate training for new and existing staff regarding SBT Services.
  • Assist in the clinical orientation of new employees, including familiarization tours and documentation processes.
  • Participate in bimonthly clinical integration meetings.
  • Attend School-Based Director meetings.
  • Provide consultation and ongoing opportunities for professional skills development as appropriate.
  • Conduct and/or coordinate regular supervision with staff, maintaining necessary supervisory documentation.
  • Review and co-sign documentation for new staff, ensuring compliance with agency standards and licensure requirements during the initial employment period.
  • Follow up with clients as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    SUPERVISORY DUTIES:
  • Oversee daily operations and responsibilities of supervisees.
  • Complete performance development processes.
  • Manage time card submissions.
  • Ensure progress towards departmental strategic goals.
  • Master's degree is required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license and agency-required minimum automobile insurance coverage are necessary.

    LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: LPC, LCSW, or LMFT valid in Missouri is required.
