The Head of School-Based Therapy Services is responsible for overseeing therapy personnel across various educational institutions within the designated area, ensuring the delivery of high-quality therapeutic services in schools.

This is a full-time position with benefits, tasked with supervising therapists in multiple counties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Oversee program management and development in collaboration with the Senior Director of School-Based Therapy Services.

• Guarantee the provision of effective and clinically sound management of behavioral health issues within the educational framework across the region.

• Direct the School-Based Therapy (SBT) initiatives, including partnerships, internal referrals, and ongoing grant management.

• Facilitate team coordination and provide support to the Senior Director of School-Based Therapy Services.

• Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure proper referral processes and integration of school-based referrals into the care system.

• Supervise SBT staff to ensure quality performance, effective scheduling, and seamless collaboration with other departments.

• Regularly analyze SBT-related data—financial, quality, compliance, and administrative—and provide feedback to staff as necessary.

• Participate in Utilization Review (UR) to manage caseloads, session lengths, care patterns, and appointment metrics.

• Lead peer review processes to ensure the delivery of appropriate services and foster a feedback loop for quality enhancement.

• Organize regular SBT meetings to maintain open communication and feedback among stakeholders, including the VP, Senior Director, and direct staff.

• Conduct regular stakeholder meetings to clarify and uphold all operational processes.

• Assess staff performance and make recommendations regarding promotions or terminations to the HR department and Senior Director of Outpatient Services.

• Build and maintain relationships with external agencies and SBT stakeholders, with support from the regional VP of Corporate Partnerships.

• Collaborate with the Compass Training Institute (CTI) to facilitate training for new and existing staff related to SBT Services.

• Assist in the clinical orientation of new employees, including tours, documentation, and welcoming activities.

• Attend bi-monthly clinical integration meetings and School-Based Director meetings.

• Provide consultation and ongoing opportunities for professional skills development as appropriate.

• Conduct and/or coordinate regular supervision with staff, ensuring compliance with documentation standards.

• Review and co-sign documentation for new staff to ensure adherence to agency expectations and licensure requirements during the initial employment period.

• Follow up with clients as necessary.

• Perform other assigned duties as required.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES:


• Manage daily operations and tasks of supervised staff.

• Complete performance development processes.

• Oversee time management and ensure accurate time sheet submissions.

• Ensure progress towards departmental strategic goals.
