The Head of School-Based Therapy Programs is responsible for overseeing the therapy staff operating in various educational settings within the designated area, ensuring that quality therapy services are accessible to students.

This is a full-time position with benefits, supervising therapists across multiple counties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee program development and management in collaboration with the Senior Director of School-Based Therapy Services.
  • Guarantee the delivery of effective and clinically appropriate behavioral health services within the educational system.
  • Manage the School-Based Therapy (SBT) framework, including partnerships, internal referrals, and grant-related activities.
  • Support the Senior Director by ensuring team coordination and providing necessary assistance.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure proper referral processes and integration into the care system.
  • Supervise SBT staff to ensure high-quality service delivery and effective scheduling.
  • Regularly analyze SBT-related data, including financial and compliance metrics, and follow up with staff as necessary.
  • Engage in Utilization Review (UR) to manage caseloads and assess service patterns.
  • Facilitate peer review processes to enhance service quality and create feedback mechanisms for improvement.
  • Organize regular meetings to maintain open communication among all levels of staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide recommendations for staff promotions or terminations.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with external agencies and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate training initiatives for new and existing staff in collaboration with the Compass Training Institute.
  • Assist in the orientation of new employees, including familiarization with policies and procedures.
  • Participate in clinical integration meetings and School-Based Director meetings.
  • Provide ongoing consultation and skill development opportunities for staff.
  • Ensure regular supervision of staff in compliance with licensure requirements.
  • Review documentation for new staff to ensure adherence to agency standards.
  • Follow up with clients as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    SUPERVISORY DUTIES:
  • Manage daily operations and tasks of supervised staff.
  • Conduct performance development processes.
  • Oversee time management and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Support progress towards departmental strategic goals.

    Master's degree required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience required.
  • A valid driver's license and minimum automobile insurance coverage required.

    LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: LPC, LCSW, or LMFT valid in Missouri required.
