The Head of School-Based Therapy Programs is responsible for overseeing therapy personnel across various educational institutions within the designated area, ensuring that high-quality therapy services are accessible to students.

This is a full-time position that includes benefits and entails supervising therapists in multiple counties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – POSITION SPECIFIC


• Oversee program management and development in collaboration with the Senior Director of School-Based Therapy Services.

• Guarantee the delivery of quality services that effectively manage behavioral health issues within the educational system statewide.

• Lead the School-Based Therapy (SBT) framework, including external collaborations, internal referrals, and ongoing grant and contract obligations.

• Facilitate team coordination and provide support to the Senior Director of School-Based Therapy Services.

• Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure proper handling of referrals and integration of school-based cases into our care system.

• Supervise SBT staff to ensure quality service delivery, effective management of schedules, and seamless collaboration with other teams.

• Regularly assess all SBT-related data—financial, quality, compliance, and administrative—and provide necessary follow-up with staff.

• Engage in Utilization Review (UR) for managing caseloads, session lengths, care patterns, and appointment metrics.

• Direct peer review initiatives to ensure appropriate service delivery and establish a feedback mechanism for quality enhancement.

• Ensure that regular SBT meetings are conducted to maintain communication and feedback loops among leadership and staff.

• Conduct regular stakeholder meetings to clarify and adhere to established processes.

• Evaluate team performance and recommend actions regarding promotions or terminations to the HR department and Senior Director of Outpatient Services.

• Develop and maintain partnerships with external agencies and SBT stakeholders, with support from the regional VP of Corporate Partnerships.

• Collaborate with the Compass Training Institute (CTI) to coordinate training for new and existing staff regarding SBT Services.

• Assist in the clinical orientation of new hires, including tours, documentation, and welcoming activities.

• Attend bimonthly clinical integration meetings.

• Participate in School-Based Director meetings.

• Provide consultation and ongoing opportunities for professional skills development as appropriate.

• Conduct and/or coordinate regular supervision with staff in collaboration with the Licensure/Certification Supervisor, maintaining necessary documentation.

• Review and co-sign documentation for new staff, ensuring compliance with agency standards and licensure requirements during the initial employment period.

• Follow up with clients as necessary.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES:


• Manage daily operations and tasks of supervised staff.

• Complete performance development processes.

• Oversee time card management and ensure accurate timesheet submissions.

• Ensure progress towards departmental strategic objectives.
