Position Overview:

The Administrative Support I role is essential in fostering a welcoming environment at Stetson University, ensuring that our resources are organized and accessible.

As a vital member of the administrative team, the Administrative Support I will maintain regular hours at the front desk, oversee the organization of office materials, assist with mail distribution, and help manage the processing of various documents.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Check-in, organize, process, and shelve office materials as necessary.
  • Maintain regular hours at the front desk.
  • Oversee the upkeep of office supplies and resources, including inventory checks.
  • Assist in the sorting and processing of incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Ensure the functionality of office equipment, including printers and copiers.
  • Manage interdepartmental loans and requests.
  • Maintain electronic records and databases.
  • Coordinate study room bookings and reservations.
  • Support the management of up-to-date patron records.
  • Assist in the revision and maintenance of policy manuals.
  • Provide backup support for administrative tasks as needed.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment and engage positively with colleagues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service abilities.
  • Effective organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to follow-through.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Work Environment:
