About the Role:


The IT Support Specialist I plays a crucial role within Latham's Technology team, tasked with delivering support to the office by addressing intricate desktop, laptop, and remote computing challenges. This includes the installation and upkeep of firm PC and laptop hardware and software, as well as setting up and assisting with desktops, laptop systems, hardware, and client-related services, in addition to providing support for printers, Multi-Functional Devices (MFDs), and PDAs, including configuration and troubleshooting.

This position is based in our New York office and requires a full-time in-office presence with a schedule of 11 AM - 7 PM.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Additional responsibilities include:
Diagnosing issues related to hardware, system software, and application software; identifying various symptoms to accurately determine the underlying problem, and assessing whether the issue lies with technology or user training, and resolving the issue
Assisting end users with firm-approved applications through various methods, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, iManage, Litera ChangePro, InTapp Time, Bighand Digital Dictation, Remote Computing (VMware and VPN), and other applications as required
Conducting routine maintenance on PC equipment such as desktops and laptops, printers, monitors, and peripheral hardware; also performing virus scans on computers
Staying updated on emerging technologies and reviewing relevant technology media sources
Collaborating with Blackberry Enterprise Server, Blackberry UEM & Work to support our mobile platform; quickly assessing situations and providing solutions for remote access challenges

We welcome candidates who:
Exhibit knowledge and proficiency in a broad range of software programs, including Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook), iManage, iManage Work 10, and Litera ChangePro
Demonstrate expert understanding of standard hardware components and peripherals
Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with individuals at all levels within the organization

And possess:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent experience
A minimum of three (3) years of technology support experience
Experience in installations and upgrades, training, and technical documentation
