We have an opening for a Patient Access Representative to join our Galveston, Texas team.
**Job Overview**
The Patient Access Representative is the first point of contact for our patients and caregivers. This role provides support to our patients as they navigate a life-changing event. The support is delivered by working with the caregiver to schedule appointments, perform pre-registration and registration of new and existing patients, and provide patients with information regarding access to external financial resources.
Responsibilities:
* Process appointment requests for all types of outpatient appointments for new and established patients
* Complete pre-registration to verify patient demographics are correct
* Obtain patient consents as required
* Verify insurance prior to patient arrival for services
* Identify uninsured patients to perform financial counseling and provide counseling to optimize access to external sources
**Requirements**
* High School diploma required
* Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
* 1 year experience in scheduling and registration preferred
