Position Summary:

As an Overnight Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will be instrumental in providing essential overnight care and assistance to adults with IDD in a group home environment. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents throughout the night while fostering an inclusive atmosphere that encourages independence and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver overnight supervision and support to residents with daily living tasks, including personal hygiene, grooming, and medication management.
  • Monitor and address any medical or behavioral needs that may arise during the night, adhering to established protocols.
  • Encourage a positive and empowering environment within the group home, promoting social interaction, recreational activities, and skill development.
  • Accurately document observations, incidents, and interventions in resident records.
  • Collaborate with team members, including case managers and healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment, performing light housekeeping duties and conducting regular safety checks.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with IDD or in a similar caregiving role is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with diverse individuals.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations, demonstrating compassion and empathy.
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures, with a willingness to learn.
  • Must be dependable, responsible, and able to work independently during overnight shifts.

Current Openings/Schedules:

3rd Shift: Various schedules available from 10pm-8am, 10:30pm-8:30pm, and 9pm-9am.
