Position Summary:
As a Nighttime Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will be instrumental in providing essential overnight care to adults with IDD within our group home framework. Your role will involve ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents during the night, while cultivating a supportive atmosphere that encourages independence and personal development.
Key Duties:
- Oversee and assist residents with daily living tasks, including personal hygiene, grooming, and medication management.
- Monitor and address any medical or behavioral concerns that may arise overnight, adhering to established guidelines.
- Foster a positive and encouraging environment, promoting social engagement, recreational activities, and skill enhancement.
- Accurately document observations, incidents, and interventions in resident records in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with colleagues, including case managers and healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
- Maintain a clean and safe living space, performing light housekeeping duties and conducting regular safety assessments.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience in caregiving, particularly with individuals with IDD, is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations, demonstrating compassion and empathy.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures, with a willingness to learn and adhere to healthcare protocols.
- Must be dependable, responsible, and capable of working independently during overnight hours.
Work Schedule:
3rd Shift: Various shifts available from 10pm to 9am.
