Job Overview

L&E Tubing is seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Operator, Level II to manage operations from 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This role is crucial in our manufacturing sector, focusing on operating various machinery including pressure testing and deburring equipment, as well as measurement systems.

  • Experience with precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers is a plus

Successful candidates will undergo a background check.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Operate machinery including:
    • Measuring parts using Supravision VMM and Tubshaper software
    • Tube deburring and flaring machines
    • Pressure testing machines
    • Tube cutting band saws
    • Disk and circular grinders
    • Pneumatic hand tools
  • Interpret customer and industry specifications from engineering documents
  • Conduct tube manufacturing operations adhering to specifications and internal guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Safely operate equipment
  • Understand and utilize basic metrology tools
  • Read and comprehend blueprints
  • Follow quality manual and training procedures
  • Input relevant data into the ERP system during operations
  • Accurately track time against work orders
  • Load and unload production parts efficiently
  • Monitor cutting tools for malfunctions and report issues

Physical Requirements:

The role requires the ability to perform various physical tasks including sitting, standing, pushing, pulling, grasping, reaching, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment:

This position involves exposure to both office and manufacturing environments. The manufacturing area may have noise levels requiring OSHA-approved ear protection. Personal protective equipment such as ear protection, dust masks, respirators, gloves, and safety glasses may be necessary.

Education and Experience:

Entry-level to 10 years of experience is acceptable. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a preference for candidates with manufacturing and aerospace experience. CNC operation experience is also preferred.

Computer Skills:

Proficiency in typing, Windows, Microsoft Office, and ERP system navigation is essential.
