Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team at Advanced Integration Technology (AIT). As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and continuous improvement of large-scale automated aerospace assembly systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply knowledge of controls/electrical/electronic and mechanical best practices to diagnose malfunctions, restore equipment to operation, and determine equipment modifications/enhancements.
  • Maintain, test, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components.
  • Support planned Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance.
  • Provide support for new product introduction to manufacturing.
  • Creates and revises 3D designs and 2D drawings in accordance with internal and/or customer requirements.
  • Self-checks and reviews all work prior to final release to production.
  • Follows rigorous root cause corrective action principles and practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Three or more years related experience in one or more of the following: Heavy Machine Design, Structural Design Aerospace Tooling Assembly Systems and Automation.
  • Manufacturing and machine shop background or relevant experience preferred.
  • CAD Software Knowledge: CATIA V5, NX or Equivalent software knowledge (Solidworks, Pro E, etc.)
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software (Ansys or Femap is preferred)
Work Environment

This position can involve travel up to 10% of the time. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
