Mechanical Engineering Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team at Advanced Integration Technology (AIT). As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and continuous improvement of large-scale automated aerospace assembly systems.
Key Responsibilities- Apply knowledge of controls/electrical/electronic and mechanical best practices to diagnose malfunctions, restore equipment to operation, and determine equipment modifications/enhancements.
- Maintain, test, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components.
- Support planned Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance.
- Provide support for new product introduction to manufacturing.
- Creates and revises 3D designs and 2D drawings in accordance with internal and/or customer requirements.
- Self-checks and reviews all work prior to final release to production.
- Follows rigorous root cause corrective action principles and practices.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Three or more years related experience in one or more of the following: Heavy Machine Design, Structural Design Aerospace Tooling Assembly Systems and Automation.
- Manufacturing and machine shop background or relevant experience preferred.
- CAD Software Knowledge: CATIA V5, NX or Equivalent software knowledge (Solidworks, Pro E, etc.)
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software (Ansys or Femap is preferred)
