Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resource Administrator to join our team at ConTeras Industrial Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating new hire onboarding processes, maintaining employee records, and providing support to the HR team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and maintain internal HR database with digital personnel records of relevant employee information.
  • Manage the onboarding experience by monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of onboarding activities.
  • Manage the onboarding, background, and drug test process from start to finish, including scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
  • Monitor and assess the progress of new hires to ensure they are making satisfactory progress.
  • Assist in the recruitment process by providing information to potential candidates and Hiring Managers.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure new hires and hiring have the necessary support and resources.
  • Process required pre-employment Background Screens, Drug Test, and MVR.
  • Handle employee queries, written or verbal, with the utmost confidentiality.
  • Keep up to date on current issues and matters related to the HR department.
Requirements
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in using HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and other HR-related software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with employees at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • High level of discretion, confidentiality, flexibility, integrity, and honesty.
Preferred Certifications/Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Previous experience in a similar role as an HR Administrator or HR Assistant is preferred.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices and current trends.
  • Familiarity with various HR processes, such as recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and employee relations.
  • Understanding of HR-related legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment with a team of professionals. The ability to multitask and prioritize tasks is essential. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
