Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain the internal HR database, ensuring all employee records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Facilitate the onboarding journey by assessing and enhancing the effectiveness of onboarding initiatives.
- Coordinate the onboarding, background checks, and drug screening processes, managing scheduling and tracking.
- Monitor the progress of new hires to ensure they are adapting well to their roles.
- Assist in the recruitment process by providing relevant information to prospective candidates and hiring managers.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure new hires receive the necessary support and resources.
- Process essential pre-employment checks, including background screenings and drug tests.
- Address employee inquiries with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
- Stay informed on current HR trends and issues.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficient in HRIS and other HR-related software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and flexibility.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Prior experience in an HR Administrator or HR Assistant role is advantageous.
- Familiarity with HR best practices and current trends.
- Understanding of HR-related legislation and compliance requirements.
- Certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
Work Environment:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
