The primary role of the Automation Systems Engineer I, II, III, and Senior is to provide technical support for facility Operational Technology (OT) systems, equipment, and control projects at JHS-Spokane.
This position may involve direct participation or assistance to project teams responsible for the design, acquisition, installation, and/or upgrade of critical systems and equipment utilized in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products.
The Automation Systems Engineer is accountable for engaging in capital and expense projects related to controls in facility or production equipment, cost reduction initiatives, process enhancements, and compliance adherence.
Additionally, the Automation Systems Engineer will offer engineering support to contract manufacturing teams, encompassing process development, optimization, and deviation investigations.
(Furthermore) The Automation Systems Engineer II and III may directly engage or oversee controls engineers or technicians on project teams responsible for the design, acquisition, installation, and/or upgrade of critical systems and equipment utilized in pharmaceutical manufacturing. The Automation Systems Engineer is responsible for leading capital and expense projects involving controls in facility or production equipment, cost reduction initiatives, process enhancements, and compliance adherence.(Moreover) The Senior Automation Systems Engineer is accountable for capital and expense projects involving controls in facility or production equipment, cost reduction initiatives, process enhancements, and compliance adherence.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Providing technical assistance for JHS-Spokane OT equipment control systems.
Offering technical support for OT Controls projects, including facility and utility expansions, compliance upgrades, cost reduction efforts, contract manufacturing, process improvements, and construction projects.
Delivering controls engineering support and guidance for contract manufacturing teams, including process development, recipe creation and maintenance, and support for related capital projects.
Ensuring the acquisition and maintenance of knowledge regarding regulatory requirements for the facility and processes to guarantee compliance with local, state, federal, and international regulatory agencies.
Managing and/or participating in capital and expense facility projects in accordance with the "Project Management Guidelines" system, which encompasses methods for scheduling, budgeting, meeting management, teamwork, communication, and documentation of a multi-departmental project team.
