Grove Bay Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Sous Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food production.
- Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and quality of dishes.
- Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and labor expenses to ensure profitability.
- Ensure that all kitchen staff are trained and equipped to perform their duties to the highest standard.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and other department heads to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all dishes meet our high standards.
- Manage and maintain kitchen equipment, supplies, and inventory.
- Develop and implement procedures for food safety, sanitation, and quality control.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to ensure that all staff are aware of their responsibilities and expectations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Proven track record of success in managing kitchen operations, including food production, inventory control, and labor management.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and quality control procedures.
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.
