Exciting Career Opportunity for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Company: Raymond Search Group is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to enhance their solar energy initiatives.

Position Overview: As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in advancing large-scale solar energy projects by:

  • Conducting field assessments, including soil boring, sample collection, and pile load testing, primarily at various outdoor locations.
  • Performing laboratory analyses to evaluate soil characteristics such as California Bearing Ratio (CBR), thermal resistivity, unconfined compressive strength, and particle-size distribution.
  • Generating comprehensive engineering reports by interpreting test results, executing calculations, and offering design recommendations for foundations and roadways.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential.
  • Preferred: Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
  • Preferred: 3-4 years of experience in construction engineering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, coordination, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Attention to detail and capability to interpret testing specifications accurately.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 99 lbs, utilize hand tools, and operate hydraulic equipment.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and travel as required.
  • Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Preferred: Willingness to operate heavy-duty construction machinery.
  • Ability to navigate challenging terrains, including agricultural fields and wooded areas.
