Position Overview:
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to engage in exciting projects within the Power Generation and Renewable sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the electrical design team on significant institutional and industrial projects during the schematic design and contract documentation phases.
  • Organize and participate in review meetings with internal and client teams.
  • Manage project workloads to ensure timely completion of tasks while balancing multiple priorities.
  • Conduct on-site work sessions alongside the Project Manager and other disciplines.
  • Examine electrical documents for conflicts with other disciplines and coordinate solutions to achieve a comprehensive design.
  • Draft and edit electrical specifications, selecting appropriate equipment and systems to meet project needs.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines on addenda, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders, ensuring all modifications are reflected in project documents.
  • Possess knowledge of system protection functions and controls in generation and industrial power distribution systems.
  • Provide support for construction contract administration as required.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control on the work of other electrical engineers and technicians.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.
Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in electrical design for buildings, including lighting, power, and systems.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and electrical design software.
  • A commitment to actively participating in our employee-owned culture.
Preferred:
  • At least 5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
  • Experience in protection and control design, including drawing and settings development.
  • Field experience, particularly in startup and commissioning.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design software (ETAP, SKM, etc.).
  • Experience in renewable energy projects, including PV and BESS, as well as microgrid initiatives.
  • Instrumentation and Controls experience, especially with DCS and PLC systems.
  • Willingness to travel less than 10% for client and vendor meetings, as well as project site visits.
