Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Outpatient Medical Oncology team. This role involves delivering comprehensive patient care while adhering to established clinical standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming patient inquiries via telephone; provide guidance on medication and treatment protocols; facilitate prescription refill requests as per physician's orders.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments following clinical nursing guidelines; monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions; alert physicians to any adverse reactions experienced by patients.
  • Deliver patient education and instruction under physician supervision; address inquiries related to diagnostic assessments and treatment plans.
  • Perform wound care in accordance with established clinical protocols.
  • Administer and oversee IV fluids and medications as required.
  • Execute Medical Assistant duties as outlined in the corresponding job description.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.

Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.

Capability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Educational Requirements

Completion of an accredited nursing program or a bachelor's degree in nursing.

Experience Requirements

No prior experience necessary.

Licensure/Certification Requirements

Must possess a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Georgia.
