Job Title: Data Center Technician

At SoftNet Solutions Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technician to join our team. As a Data Center Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data center infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Rack and stack server, networking, and storage equipment
  • Troubleshoot server hardware failures and perform required maintenance
  • Implement installation plans and configure equipment according to specifications
  • Resolve work priorities from a ticketing queue and ensure adherence to all contribute times
  • Inventory and label equipment, and perform power cycling and soft-booting tasks
  • Install and configure infrastructure data cabling and run new cable and cross-connects
  • Swap hard drives, memory, or other internal components, and perform hot-swappable component swaps
Device Configuration and Maintenance:
  • Configure existing and new equipment, including keyboard, video, and mouse (KVM) installations
  • Provide KVM or IP switch access for remote configuration and management
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in data center operations or a related field
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Natural curiosity and strong troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform manual dexterity tasks
