Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nutrition Specialist to join our team at Carle Health. As a key member of our nutrition care team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive nutrition care to patients, including assessment, development, and implementation of nutrition care plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Nutrition Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough nutrition assessments of patients to identify their nutritional needs and develop personalized care plans.
  • Medical Nutrition Therapy: Provide high-quality medical nutrition therapy to patients, including enteral and parenteral nutrition, as needed.
  • Nutrition Education: Educate patients, families, and healthcare staff on nutrition-related topics, including healthy eating habits and disease management.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, such as JCAHO and IDPH, to ensure compliance and quality care.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Bachelor's degree in dietetics or a related field, with registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or eligible for registration.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in healthcare and/or food service, with a strong background in clinical nutrition.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
