As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a vital role in providing expert nutrition care to patients with obesity, working closely with our surgery team to support healthy weight loss and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Assess nutritional status and develop personalized nutrition care plans for patients with obesity
- Provide education and counseling in one-on-one, small group, and cooking demonstration settings
- Collaborate with the surgery team to care for patients before and after bariatric surgery
- Conduct Medical Nutrition Therapy for patients with various diagnoses
- Develop and implement interventions to promote healthy weight loss and maintain lean body mass
- Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Food Science, or Nutrition
- Credentialed Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian eligible through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (Illinois and Michigan)
- Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist eligible (Illinois)
- Basic Microsoft application proficiency
- Previous experience working with patients in a group or individual setting
- License Certified diabetes educator
- 1 year experience working with patients in a group or individual setting
