Position Summary for ROV Technician I

We are in search of a dedicated ROV Technician I responsible for the upkeep, repair, and troubleshooting of Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) systems.

Key Responsibilities of ROV Technician I

  • Complies with mechanical and electrical standards as per industry regulations
  • Handles piloting, navigation, and record-keeping tasks
  • Conducts routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and provides input for field solutions
  • Interprets and creates schematics
  • Facilitates the launch and recovery operations of the ROV system
  • Ensures thorough checks of the ROV before and after dives in line with established pre and post-dive checklists
  • Adheres to lockout/tagout protocols in accordance with company policies
  • Operates in compliance with the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and operational standards
  • Works in offshore environments under challenging weather conditions on a rotational or call-out basis
  • Maintains and repairs the ROV umbilical cable handling system, including winches and hydraulic power units
  • Repairs and maintains the hydraulic and mechanical systems of the ROV
  • Manages the inventory of mechanical spares on board

Qualifications for ROV Technician I

  • Background in electronics, electrical systems, or mechanical engineering
  • Possesses a valid Offshore Medical Certificate
  • Holds a current certification in an offshore survival course appropriate for the work area
  • Experience with ROV systems is required
