Position Overview:

As a Mechanical Assembly Technician I, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and testing of mechanical components. Your expertise will ensure that products meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.

Work Schedule:

Shift Rotation: Every 2 to 3 weeks
Current Shift Hours:
Monday to Friday
First Shift: 4 AM to 2 PM
Second Shift: 12 PM to 10 PM
Weekend shifts may be required as needed.

Key Skills Required:
1. Proficient in assembly techniques.
2. Experience in testing mechanical parts.
3. Familiarity with operating forklifts and cranes.

Core Responsibilities:
- Collecting necessary components for assembly.
- Assembling parts following detailed instructions to complete a 10-part assembly process.
- Conducting tests on assembled units in a laboratory environment.

Testing Procedures:
- Performing pressure and temperature tests using water pressure and high temperatures to verify operational integrity.

Preferred Experience:
- Background in the oil and gas sector is advantageous.

Job Duties:
- Efficiently and accurately assemble and test a range of moderately complex products.
- Engage in initial subassembly and final detailing tasks.
- Work with products containing mechanical components and various part numbers.
- Contribute to lean manufacturing initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and minimizing costs.
- Operate hand and power tools to perform assembly and testing functions.
- Follow assembly drawings meticulously.
- Utilize testing equipment in compliance with established standards.
- Conduct functional tests on assemblies with necessary support.
- Test equipment using water or gas (hydrogen or nitrogen) as required.
- Ensure assemblies meet customer and division specifications.

Background Verification:
- Basic verification process.

Drug Screening:
- 10-panel screening plus Motor Vehicle Record check.

Special Equipment Required:
- Steel-toed boots.

Work Hours:
- 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, totaling 1,368 hours annually.
