Position Summary for Pilot Technician II

We are in search of a skilled Pilot Technician II to support operations related to piloting, navigation, and record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities of the Pilot Technician II

  • Complies with mechanical and electrical standards as per industry regulations.
  • Interprets schematics accurately.
  • Conducts launch and recovery operations for ROV systems.
  • Ensures thorough pre-dive and post-dive checks of the ROV are performed in line with established protocols.
  • Adheres to lockout/tagout procedures in accordance with company policies.
  • Performs routine weekly and monthly maintenance on systems.
  • Maintains a constant awareness of safety conditions to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Operates in alignment with the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and operational standards.
  • Follows directives from the system supervisor or superintendent during ROV operations.
  • Ensures accurate execution of operations and data recording.
  • Conducts planned maintenance and repairs on ROV and related equipment as necessary.
  • Works in challenging offshore environments on a rotational or call-out basis.
  • Handles repairs and maintenance of the ROV umbilical cable management system, including winches and hydraulic power units.
  • Maintains and repairs the hydraulic and mechanical systems of the ROV.
  • Oversees the inventory of mechanical spares on board.

Qualifications for the Pilot Technician II Position

  • Background in electronics, electrical systems, or mechanical engineering.
  • Possesses a valid Offshore Medical Certificate.
  • Holds a current certification in an offshore survival course relevant to the operational area.
  • Experience with ROV systems is essential.
