Position Overview

Abacus Technology Corporation is in search of a Program Manager to direct and manage a team of technical experts providing essential operational support. This is a full-time role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise staffing levels, establish and uphold work standards, develop personnel schedules, assess work discrepancies, and convey organizational policies, objectives, and goals to team members.
  • Employ key performance indicators to evaluate work performance, assess outcomes, ensure the fulfillment of contracted services, assist management and decision-making processes, and enhance communication.
  • Promptly inform the Government of any operational, maintenance, logistics, training, or management issues that may affect contractor performance or mission success.
  • Identify potential risks, address issues, and confirm the effectiveness of corrective measures.
  • Establish and maintain a systematic approach to ensure that problems and action items discussed with the Government are monitored until resolution.
  • Document actions taken to enhance performance and conduct reviews to capture lessons learned, aimed at refining processes and methodologies.
  • Develop and sustain processes for managing all Task Order efforts with a focus on cost-effectiveness, scheduling, performance, responsiveness, and consistently high-quality service delivery.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and process enhancements, and report on their progress during Program Management Reviews.

Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of experience in program and IT service management. A Master's degree in a relevant discipline is required, although additional years of experience may substitute for educational qualifications. Certification as PgMP or PMP is mandatory. A robust technical background in IT or engineering is essential. Proven experience in leading technical teams and providing clear direction and guidance is required. Familiarity with risk management and Air Force Emergency Management (AFEM) protocols is preferred. A working knowledge of the USAF IT environment and networks, including NIPRNet, SIPRNet, WICs, and SAPnet, is necessary. Demonstrated expertise in managing costs, resources, schedules, and risks is essential. Knowledge of Air Force tools and technologies is required. Experience with DoD systems and military protocols is advantageous. Ability to provide clear and concise instructions to staff regarding project execution is crucial. Exceptional communication skills across all organizational levels are necessary. Ability to cultivate effective government-contractor relationships to foster mutually beneficial partnerships is essential. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and possess a current Secret clearance.
