The Operations Senior Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the transformation of shared services and supporting the operational framework and key milestones. This position requires a high level of collaboration across both corporate and market-level operations, utilizing existing subject matter experts (SMEs) to facilitate informed decision-making. The initial focus will be on an ongoing initiative with our Strategy & Operations team, which collaborates with various shared services and clinical operations teams.

The ideal candidate will possess strong motivation, organizational skills, and a process-oriented mindset. A proven track record in designing and executing significant operational implementation programs across shared services is essential, along with a comprehensive understanding of healthcare operations and business requirements. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with business leaders to formulate and implement shared services integration plans, ensuring that critical milestones are achieved and dependencies are effectively managed.
  • Conducting thorough research, developing actionable work plans, and executing them to meet the expectations of both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leading governance meetings and strategic planning sessions with senior cross-functional leaders.
  • Maintaining relationships with senior business leaders to provide regular updates on progress, identify challenges and risks, and recommend solutions to align on actionable paths forward.
  • Delivering status updates and comprehensive reports to stakeholders.
  • Identifying opportunities for process standardization and spearheading the adoption of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Managing complex, cross-functional workstreams to ensure operational readiness.
  • Developing and applying decision-making frameworks to achieve significant outcomes impacting the business.
  • Overseeing data analysis, shaping data collection strategies, and supporting quality reviews and interpretations.
  • Providing direction, resolving issues, and mentoring junior team members and shared cross-functional resources.
  • Proactively anticipating potential challenges and risks, contributing to innovative solutions, and taking swift action.
  • Driving initiatives independently, determining next steps, highlighting risks and barriers, and formulating mitigation strategies without extensive oversight.

Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in managed care organizations, with a preference for medical group or IPA operations.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Suite.
  • Demonstrated skills in project management, consulting, and facilitation.
  • Proven self-starter with exceptional project management capabilities and a track record of driving organizational change.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire collaboration among partners and stakeholders.
  • High degree of organization, individual initiative, and personal accountability.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Direct experience in healthcare operations.
  • Experience in management consulting, encompassing both strategy and implementation of projects in care delivery settings.
