POSITION OVERVIEW
As a key player in our logistics operations, the Senior Empty Vessel Planner will oversee the planning and management of empty containers for vessels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategically plan and allocate empty containers for shipping vessels.
- Collaborate with the stock management team to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained.
- Coordinate with various departments including cargo flow, headquarters, and port operations to ensure seamless communication.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives that enhance operational efficiency for CMA CGM.
- Maintain accurate forecasts to assess storage and inventory risks in the upcoming weeks.
- Monitor idle and damaged containers designated for empty vessel loading.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.
- Excellent analytical capabilities.
- Proficient in MS Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and v-lookups.
- Skilled in MS Access, with the ability to write macros and debug code.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Familiarity with SQL and PL/SQL Developer for running queries and macros.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of two years of experience in the shipping industry is preferred.
- General knowledge of equipment procedures is advantageous.
- At least one year of relevant industry experience is required.
- A High School Diploma or GED is necessary; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
