IT Asset Management Coordinator

The IT Asset Management Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of technology resources, including hardware, software, and licenses. This role ensures that the appropriate IT assets are utilized effectively to fulfill the organization's requirements while minimizing costs, risks, and waste. Key duties involve monitoring the performance, utilization, and compliance of IT assets to generate reports and provide recommendations for enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a precise inventory of all IT assets.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth configuration and deployment of new IT equipment or applications.
- Supervise the IT Asset Management System, ensuring its accuracy and dependability.
- Generate detailed reports on IT assets, including their locations and usage.
- Work with procurement to acquire additional IT hardware and software as needed.
- Assist in IT Asset Management audits and compliance obligations.
- Engage in the development of IT Asset Management process enhancements and best practices.
- Stay informed about the lifecycle stages of IT assets, ensuring proper retirement or disposal.
- Provide training and support on IT Asset Management best practices to other departments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred experience in IT asset management, IT service management, or IT operations.
- Certification in IT asset management, such as IAITAM, CSAM, or CHAMP is a plus.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and projects in a dynamic environment.
- Capable of prioritizing tasks, effectively handling competing priorities, and meeting deadlines. Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to resolve routine issues.
- Basic understanding of Credit Union products, services, policies, and procedures relevant to the role.
- Basic knowledge of regulatory compliance necessary for successful job performance.
- Familiarity with all Credit Union computer systems and software applications required for job duties.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with members, staff, vendors, and regulators.
