The IT Asset Management Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of technology assets, including hardware, software, and licenses. This role is essential in ensuring that the organization effectively utilizes its IT resources while minimizing costs, risks, and waste. Key duties involve monitoring the performance, usage, and compliance of IT assets, providing insightful reports and recommendations for enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a precise inventory of all IT assets.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth configuration and deployment of new IT equipment or applications.
  • Supervise the IT Asset Management System, ensuring its accuracy and reliability.
  • Generate detailed reports on IT assets, including their location and utilization.
  • Work with procurement to acquire additional IT hardware and software as needed.
  • Assist in IT Asset Management audits and compliance obligations.
  • Contribute to the development of process improvements and best practices in IT Asset Management.
  • Stay informed about the lifecycle stages of IT assets, ensuring proper retirement or disposal.
  • Provide training and guidance on IT Asset Management best practices to other teams.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred experience in IT asset management, IT service management, or IT operations.
  • Certification in IT asset management, such as IAITAM, CSAM, or CHAMP is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Effective prioritization of tasks and adeptness at handling competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, capable of resolving routine issues.
  • Basic understanding of Credit Union products, services, policies, and procedures relevant to the role.
  • Basic knowledge of regulatory compliance necessary for successful job performance.
  • Familiarity with Credit Union computer systems and software applications required for job duties.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, enabling professional interaction with members, staff, vendors, and regulators.
