Position Summary

The Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the Operations team while ensuring exceptional member service across all channels. This position involves collaborating with the Operations Manager and engaging with staff to resolve member inquiries effectively. The Coordinator will enhance the member experience by delivering prompt, efficient, and accurate service in a friendly and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide prompt and accurate service to members, adhering to established transaction processing guidelines.
  2. Assist in handling member escalations alongside the Operations Manager.
  3. Collaborate with the Operations Manager to review and balance the General Ledger accounts daily.
  4. Support the monitoring and processing of dormant accounts as needed.
  5. Ensure timely and accurate completion of all daily back-office tasks.
  6. Work closely with the Operations Coordinator and Electronic Services Coordinator to oversee daily workflows, ensuring efficiency and quality service delivery.
  7. Identify opportunities for improving back-office processes through enhanced communication, training, and staffing.
  8. Develop and document standard operating procedures.
  9. Learn to manage legal processing tasks, including Trusts, Subpoenas, Garnishments, and Levies.
  10. Understand the importance of timeliness and risk management in all operations.
  11. Act as a project manager for departmental initiatives, contributing expertise and ensuring deliverables are met.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in customer service and sales, preferably in a credit union or banking environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of credit union or banking products and services.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with credit union software applications is preferred.

Additional Information

The Operations Coordinator will engage in extensive verbal and written communication, requiring clarity and precision. Attention to detail is critical, as the role involves proofreading documentation to prevent errors. The position may require mobility within the credit union for meetings and member interactions.
