Position Summary
The Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Operations team and ensuring outstanding member service across all channels. This position involves collaboration with the Operations Manager and interaction with staff to resolve member inquiries effectively. The coordinator will build and strengthen relationships while delivering prompt, efficient, and accurate service in a friendly and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional service to members, ensuring accuracy and professionalism in all interactions.
- Assist in managing member escalations alongside the Operations Manager.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to review and balance the General Ledger accounts daily.
- Support the Operations Manager in monitoring dormant accounts.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of daily back-office tasks.
- Work closely with the Operations Coordinator and Electronic Services Coordinator to oversee back-office workflow and maintain service quality.
- Identify opportunities for improving back-office processes through efficiency and training.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures.
- Learn to manage legal processes such as Trusts, Subpoenas, and Garnishments.
- Understand the risks involved in operations and the importance of timely actions.
- Act as a project manager for departmental initiatives, contributing expertise and ensuring project milestones are met.
Qualifications and Skills
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in customer service or sales, preferably in a credit union or banking environment.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of credit union or banking products and services.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with credit union software applications.
