Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Support Teacher to join our team at Primrose School of Cooper City. As a Support Teacher, you will play a vital role in implementing our Balanced Learning approach, promoting the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a group of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Support classroom teachers in implementing approved lesson plans and daily schedules, aligning with our Balanced Learning curriculum.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive classroom environment that encourages children to explore and learn.
  • Provide positive reinforcement and clear expectations for children's behavior, promoting a positive and respectful classroom culture.
  • Assist with maintenance and housekeeping duties, including common areas and playgrounds, as needed.
  • Adhere to professional standards and guidelines outlined in the Primrose School of Cooper City Employee Handbook.

Requirements:

  • Meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agencies.
  • Previous experience in a licensed early childhood program, preferably in a support or substitute teaching role.
  • Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with handling children for program facilitation, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
  • Completion of Child Care Training (40 hours) is preferred.
