Role: University Talent Acquisition Specialist
Department: Human Resources
Overview: Join our Human Resources team as a key player in sourcing and securing early career talent. This role involves managing the entire recruitment lifecycle for campus positions, from outreach to selection, while building strong connections with educational institutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and nurture partnerships with universities to effectively attract and recruit interns and recent graduates.
- Oversee the summer internship initiative, ensuring a seamless experience for participants.
- Plan and coordinate campus recruitment activities, including job fairs, information sessions, and on-campus interviews.
- Guide candidates through the recruitment journey, ensuring a positive experience from initial contact to offer acceptance.
- Manage the selection process for interns and oversee the daily operations of the internship program, including evaluations and activities.
- Ensure compliance with local and federal regulations throughout the early-career recruitment process.
- Develop a robust pipeline of early career talent for future hiring needs.
- Attend networking events at colleges to expand your professional network and identify qualified candidates.
- Manage high school internship programs and work on expanding both college and high school initiatives.
- Implement strategies to attract a diverse range of candidates, supporting our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
- Stay updated on trends in campus recruitment and higher education to maintain competitive practices.
- Administer the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for early-career candidates and manage job postings.
- Represent the Conner Strong & Buckelew brand at colleges and universities.
- Collaborate with the talent acquisition team to develop and execute staffing strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with HR colleagues, educational institutions, and community organizations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Degree in Human Resources or Risk Management and Insurance is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive and sound judgment skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Specialized Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint.
- Experience handling confidential information.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
