Position Overview: As a Full-time Lead Educator for Preschool & PreK | VPK (certified) Teachers at the Primrose School of Cooper City, you will play a crucial role in guiding young learners as they explore, discover, and comprehend their surroundings.

We are in search of passionate and skilled Preschool and PreK VPK (certified) Teachers to execute our ongoing curriculum of activities designed to foster the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of each child, in alignment with the Primrose Balanced Learning methodology. This role requires full-time commitment from Monday to Friday, year-round, with paid time-off and holiday pay available after the initial 90-day period.

Primrose School of Cooper City is a recognized private preschool that offers a premier educational childcare experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the overall supervision and daily operations of a classroom of children.
  • Adhere to all regulations and guidelines set forth by the Primrose School of Cooper City and relevant local, state, or national regulatory bodies concerning the health, safety, and welfare of children.
  • Continuously assess each child's developmental requirements.
  • Implement the provided lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum.
  • Collaborate with a member of the Leadership Team to plan parent-teacher conferences and student assessments.
  • Maintain an engaging and well-organized classroom environment that encourages creativity, exploration, and confident decision-making among children.
  • Provide positive reinforcement and clear expectations for children's behavior.
  • Take responsibility for the upkeep and necessary cleaning of the classroom, shared areas, and playgrounds.
  • Participate in all mandatory staff meetings, workshops, and school events.
  • Uphold a professional appearance in line with the standards outlined in the Primrose School of Cooper City Employee Handbook.
  • Assist in additional duties as determined necessary by the Director or their designee.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a licensed early childhood education setting is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for the safe handling of children during program facilitation, safety measures, and emergency situations.
  • Current Staff Credential or CDA is required.
  • For Pre-Kindergarten Teachers: VPK-CERTIFIED (mandatory) and a 4-year degree in early childhood education or a related field is required.
