Job Summary

YAP Global is a leading international public relations and communications consultancy that works with innovative companies and organizations in the cryptocurrency, decentralized finance (DeFi), and web3 sector to build their brand through impactful storytelling.

We are seeking an ambitious Senior Account Executive to join our global team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day client relationships, developing and executing strategic communications plans, and building strong media relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of 5-6 clients, providing strategic counsel and executing communications plans
  • Support the Account Lead in ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) are met across all clients
  • Research and write press releases, op-eds, case studies, and blog posts
  • Develop story angles to help meet client KPIs
  • Pitch client stories to strategic media outlets and key journalists
  • Ensure the quality of deliverables meets the highest standards while meeting client requirements
  • Formulate media strategies and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Represent clients in the media as needed
  • Participate in new business development, including research, proposal, and pitch preparation

Requirements:

  • Candidate must have the right to work in the US
  • At least 1-2 years of experience or educational background in Public Relations, Communications, or Journalism
  • Knowledge of the fintech, blockchain, or cryptocurrency space or a genuine desire to learn about it
  • Media relationships with financial, tech, and mainstream press
  • Track record of successfully pitching client stories to tier 1 & 2 media publications
  • Outstanding organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail: excellent at spelling, grammar, and proof-reading
  • High motivation and ability to work independently under pressure
  • Strong news sense and knack for storytelling
  • Flair for creativity, strategic thinking, and innovation
