Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your expertise and certifications in pest management to identify, manage, eliminate, and prevent various rodent, insect, and pest-related issues.
  • Establish professional relationships with clients to understand their specific business challenges.
  • Conduct inspections at client locations to assess pest activity and implement a combination of mechanical, biological, and chemical solutions to mitigate pest issues.
  • Oversee your own service route and schedule to ensure clients receive prompt and high-quality service.
  • Contribute to the health and safety of your community by identifying and addressing pest-related concerns.

Essential Qualifications:

Required:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial or residential pest management.
  • Current pest management certification or licenses for inspection, application, or consulting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
  • A desire for continuous learning and professional growth.
  • A competitive spirit in both individual and team settings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in food production, inspection, or Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices.
  • Servsafe, industrial, or safety certifications.

Position Overview:

The primary role of the Pest Management Technician (Route Manager) is to oversee a designated route, providing pest control and inspection services to commercial clients while adhering to established standards for quality and timeliness. The Route Manager will cultivate professional relationships with clients to fully understand their unique challenges, offer informed guidance, recommend solutions, and address a variety of pest management issues. The Route Manager will report to the Branch Manager and collaborate with Operations Managers, Sales Representatives, and a team of technicians to enhance business operations.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage a dedicated route of commercial clients, delivering exceptional service in a professional, safe, and friendly manner.
  • Engage in training and certification programs, applying knowledge to identify, control, and eliminate pests.
  • Collaborate with clients and technical specialists to resolve complex pest issues.
  • Provide proactive and knowledgeable guidance to clients, effectively communicating options and recommendations for managing pest challenges.
  • Strive to exceed client expectations in every interaction.
  • Set up, monitor, and dismantle equipment for new installations and specialized treatments.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries and service requests.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to meet client needs, managing your route to address urgent service requests efficiently.
  • Drive and maintain a clean, safe, and organized company vehicle in accordance with Sprague and DOT standards.
  • Ensure proper inventory management of tools, equipment, and materials in the company vehicle.
  • Identify opportunities to expand accounts and branch sales by seeking referrals and discussing additional services with clients.
