The Field Operations Supervisor is accountable for ensuring the safe and effective execution of all tasks assigned to their designated routes. Daily responsibilities will typically involve a blend of 30% administrative duties and 70% fieldwork. The Field Operations Supervisor will engage in record-keeping, scheduling, billing, quality assurance, safety inspections, and management of fleet and equipment maintenance. This position entails considerable travel between job sites, requiring frequent entry and exit from a vehicle. Occasionally, the Field Operations Supervisor may need to collaborate with crew members for training or support, necessitating a willingness to participate in hands-on cleaning and manual labor tasks. Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn operational software is required. Experience in managing a dynamic workforce with diverse skill levels is crucial. While there are no fixed working hours, weekends are generally unavailable for time off, and typically only two weekdays are permitted. The Field Operations Supervisor must possess the ability to self-manage and achieve various assigned tasks and objectives throughout the workweek.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRA)

  • QUALITY CONTROL: Directing and guiding route team members to execute services accurately, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE: Leading the team and personally adhering to company standards for safety, environmental stewardship, asset management, and procedural practices.
  • OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY: Completing 100% of assigned tasks in the most efficient manner while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • SCHEDULING AND BILLING WORKFLOWS: Finalizing and validating schedules by Sunday, prior to the start of the following week. Reconciling all work and routes from the previous day immediately after dispatch. Ensuring all billing and wage reconciliation is completed by 9 AM Tuesday morning for the prior week.

Regular Duties

  • Assisting in the hiring, promotion, and disciplinary processes, along with other HR-related functions.
  • Overseeing all route-level personnel, including onboarding training and daily route operations.
  • Addressing operational challenges in the field, such as equipment breakdowns, injuries, or other issues as they arise.
  • Ensuring the preparation and regular servicing of all assigned vehicles and equipment.
  • Resolving customer complaints and issues promptly.
  • Responding to emergencies and special requests from clients.
  • Leading or assisting in monthly team safety meetings.
  • Participating in regular performance reviews and counseling for all route employees.
