Job Description

Job Summary:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead a team of software engineers in the development of cutting-edge space technology. As a Technical Leadership Position, you will be responsible for guiding the team's efforts and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 5-8 software engineers in the development of space-related software systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and standards.
  • Identify and address technical risks and issues.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on space-related systems.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in technical leadership or management.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with C, C++, or Python programming languages.
  • Familiarity with Position, Navigation & Timing (PNT) technologies.
  • Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) communications, Software Defined Radio (SDR), Signal Processing.
  • Experience with costing for proposals, BOEs and ROMs.
  • Experience interviewing, hiring, and building teams.
  • Recent experience as Product Owner, Scrum Master, and/or Release Train Engineer.
  • Familiarity with common Agile and DevSecOps Engineering Tools, such as GitLab and Jira.

Security Clearance:

This position requires a government security clearance, and the selected candidate must be a US Citizen.

Clearance Level: Top Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years
