About the Role

The Adventist Education institution is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Advancement and Alumni Engagement to lead our philanthropic efforts and engage with alumni. This is a critical role that will require strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creating meaningful relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive advancement strategy that aligns with the institution's goals and objectives.
  • Lead a team of professionals in executing fundraising campaigns, alumni engagement initiatives, and strategic partnership efforts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with alumni, donors, and other stakeholders to foster a sense of community and encourage philanthropic support.
  • Oversee the management of alumni data and leverage technology to improve alumni outreach and engagement.
  • Cultivate relationships with major donors, foundations, corporations, and other funding sources to secure significant support for the institution.
  • Develop and maintain a robust donor pipeline to ensure sustainable revenue growth.
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Enrollment Services Department to develop compelling messaging and marketing materials that support advancement efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in philanthropy, marketing/sales, communications, public relations, or other equivalent degree; master's degree preferred.
  • Five to seven years of successful experience in fundraising and development, preferably in higher education.
  • Three to five years of experience in leadership and employee management.
  • Strong social skills, exceptional listening and communication skills, and flexibility to work outside normal office hours.
