Join us at the National Employment Law Project (NELP) as we seek a highly motivated Director of Philanthropic Engagement to lead our fundraising strategy in partnership with dedicated staff. Our mission of fighting for workers and their families to achieve and sustain economic security, opportunity, and prosperity is more important than ever before.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Director aligned with our strategic priorities of dismantling structural racism and building worker power to strengthen our organizational capacity through fundraising. As Director of Philanthropic Engagement, you will work closely with our Executive Director to develop and successfully execute the fundraising strategy to sustainably reach revenue goals of over $10 million annually.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience advancing racial equity, workers' rights, or economic justice. They will have played a substantive role in an organization's fundraising initiatives, including working with foundation program officers and leading proposal development and grant reports. Strong racial equity competencies are essential, as well as a high level of awareness on how change impacts others.

A successful Director of Philanthropic Engagement will be a leader, team player, and project manager who can build sustainable and productive relationships with key stakeholders. They will have a deep understanding of how to manage complex projects and campaigns while fostering a culture of philanthropy within the organization.

The salary range for this full-time exempt position is $130,000-$145,000, depending on degree and years of leadership experience. Compensation includes an excellent comprehensive benefits package, including family health insurance, vacation and sick leave, retirement plan contributions, and student loan repayment assistance.
